“There's no retirement for an artist, it's your way of living so there's no end to it.” — Henry Moore
Elaine Stephenson is an artist living in Old Fourth Ward within the heart of Atlanta. She grew up in Roswell, making art from an early age. She inherits her artistic talents from her grandmother Nancy who was a talented painter. Elaine decided to pursue art as a career path and holds a BFA in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia. Studying graphic design ignited her love for typography and lettering by hand, which led to her discovery of calligraphy. Now she combines lettering and painting, while also doing logo designs. Her work is constantly evolving as she finds her true unique style. Her paintings gear towards soft feminine abstractions with bright pretty colors. Elaine is drawn to a colorful palette because she believes that life is too short not to focus on the things we love..including color! When she is not creating art or lettering, she is often practicing yoga, exploring Atlanta with her boyfriend and cuddling with her rescue kitty Cleo.
