The meaning behind the work:
Art is priceless to me because it saved my life when I was in a dark period of anxiety and depression. This painting depicts the way I felt moving through the world where everything had a dark cloud over it preventing me from seeing the light. But when I started creating art again, the light was able to shine through, illuminating the good things in my life and giving me hope I would get through it. The various flowers used in this piece also symbolize one of the greatest gifts art gives us: hope.
